This is a 10 hour programme – 7/8 hours of Physical Training and 2/3 hours of distance learning via a workbook. This is a programme built for Door Supervisors as part of their SIA exams and is now compulsory for all new candidates. It is likely to become compulsory for all existing Door Supervisors – but as a minimum should form part of their Continuous Professional Development.
We are also are to undertake a Physical Intervention Trainers course – this is a 5 day course with some distance learning via a workbook. This course can easily be tailored to become a Personal Safety Course – a much ‘lighter’ version with only a limited amount of physical intervention.
These guys bounce off each other brilliantly (Bob and Paul).
This is the first training I have had in four years, It refreshed some knowledge and learned new stuff. It was really enjoyable. I've now got two certificates and want to do some more.
